This last weekend I had the pleasure to document Ray and Jamie’s special day at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka, California. The day started off stormy but ended in gorgeous skies. Kind of a metaphor in life, no? In the end all that mattered was that they made a commitment to each other surrounded with loved ones. Ray and Jamie met at work when Ray moved up to Humboldt County to take care of his grandmother. The rest is history.
The venue was the Wharfinger Building in Eureka, California. It’s a very versatile venue and can accommodate various styles of weddings and events. It sits right on the bay as there are waterfront and marina views. It’s a beautiful site for this city that was once booming in the fishing industry. The flowers were elegantly done by Country Living Florist & Fine Gifts in Arcata, California. Aurelia, the owner never skips out on gorgeous florals. Hair and makeup was done by Jessica Gaube of Eureka, California. Entertainment was provided by Rundat of Garberville, California. Finally the food was catered by The Other Place Catering, can we say taco bar? The dress was adorned by lace and rhinestones and was from the fabulous Promises Bridal and Formal Wear in Eureka, California. The classy tuxedos were from The Tuxedo Den in Eureka, California. If I were to describe this wedding in three words it would be classic, romantic, and timeless.
